Greetings to all! I had such a nice time visiting with many of our wonderful parents at curriculum night! It looked like a good turnout!

In July, the CISD Professional Learning Department hosted a two-day conference for staff members on social emotional learning. Presenters at the conference offered activities, tools and information geared toward helping our learners with their social and emotional needs. With levels of anxiety, depression and suicide increasing in our young people, it was a timely and relevant conference. Many of our staff members attended and are implementing many of the ideas presented
at the conference. More to come about that.

 
I would like to make you aware of an upcoming, free conference on anxiety. Information about the half-day conference, titled “Just Breathe” can be found on the link below. It is Saturday, September 7 from 8-12. The conference is in Argyle, not too far from us. If you plan to attend this free conference, please register so that you may get all of the informational packets.

Winning The Fight is hosting an anxiety workshop providing methods, alternative treatments and hands-on instructions to help overcome anxiety.
